Dark circles and under-eye bags – the telltale signs of a sleepless night or a busy lifestyle. Dark circles are often caused by a combination of factors, including genetics, thinning skin, and blood vessels that become more visible under the eyes. They can also be exacerbated by factors like sun exposure, dehydration, and aging. On the other hand, under-eye bags are typically caused by fluid retention, weakened muscles, or fat deposits beneath the eyes. These bags can create a tired or aged appearance, even when you're well-rested.

EYES
Your eyes, the windows to your soul, deserve some extra love and attention. From battling dark circles to addressing under-eye bags, let's explore how we can enhance and rejuvenate this delicate area for a brighter, more refreshed look.
WHAT ARE THE MAIN FACTORS CAUSING DARK UNDER EYES?

GENETICS
Ah, the wonders of genetics – they shape so much of who we are, including our eye appearance. While we can't change our genetic makeup, understanding how genetics influence our eyes can help us tailor our skincare and lifestyle routines to best support our unique features.
AGEING
One of the most noticeable changes as we age is the thinning of the delicate skin around the eyes, coupled with the increased visibility of blood vessels beneath the surface. This natural ageing process can contribute to the appearance of dark circles, making them more prominent and challenging to conceal.
DEHYDRATION
I know you're sick of hearing it, but hydration really is a huge factor in retaining that youthful glow - the same goes for your under eyes! Dehydration can make your skin seem thinner and paperlike beneath your eyes, leading to darkening and wrinkling. But that doesn’t just mean drink more water, there are plenty of products that we can use to boost your under eye hyrdation.

FAQ
What do you recommend in terms of eye cream/eye products?
Honestly, I don’t!
I really don’t think you need a separate eye product, to date I’ve not found one I think is worth having.
I tend to just swipe the end of my moisturiser under there.

What causes dark circles under the eyes?
This is often related to anatomy – some people have muscles and blood
vessels in this area that is just more obvious. Combine this with some
dehydration it can increase the appearance of the dark circles.

What can I do to help my under eye area?
I am a huge fine of hydrating undereye masks, ice globe massage and gua sha. Massage can help with puffiness as we can work with the lymphatic system.
